Jones didn’t go into specifics and kept it brief when it came to the rumors that he was hearing about Irving.

Reports came out earlier today from Haynes that Irving is expected to meet with the Suns in regard to the next place he wants to play long-term.

The Suns expressed interest in Irving during the trade deadline before the Mavericks swooped in and got him. The Suns then pivoted and traded for his teammate at the time Kevin Durant.

Even with Beal joining the team alongside Durant and Devin Booker, the Suns are still being ultra-aggressive in terms of assembling top talent at the point guard position.

If the Suns were to get him, they would already be underneath the first salary cap apron which is set at $172 million. Irving this year is eligible for the $275 million max contract as well, so that would make depth pieces hard to come by for Phoenix.

Bradley Beal assures the valley that this is still Devin Bookers’ team

Free agency starts tomorrow June 30th and we’ll see in the coming days what team Irving decides to go to.
