During the episode, Smith, host Molly Querim, analyst J.J. Reddick, and Tim Legler talked about the Suns’ shooting woes, and title odds now that they’re behind in the series.

Smith went on to discuss whether he believes the Suns are cooked or not and he had a very candid response to the topic.

“I believe they are,” Smith said on First Take. “And I mean that’s almost sacrilegious to say when you got Kevin Durant and Devin Booker on the same squad… I’m talking from the standpoint of whether are you going to beat this Denver Nuggets team 4 times in the next 5 games. I don’t see that”

This Nuggets team has been too much to handle for the Phoenix Suns over the last two games and Smith has a point of questioning whether the Suns can win 4 out of the next 5 games to win this series.

In their franchises’ history, the Suns are 0-13 all-time when it comes to series where they’re down 0-2. So to Smith’s point, the Suns have a lot of ground to make up if they want to continue with their series but all likelihood is that the Nuggets are too great of a team especially at home for the Suns to get past.

Shooting Woes Continue For The Suns in Game 2 Loss

Let’s see if the Suns can prove their pundits wrong by taking it one game at a time starting on Friday against the Nuggets for Game 3.
