Paul aggravated his groin during a play at the 3-minute mark in the third quarter. He quickly went to the locker room shortly after and was ruled out for the remainder of the game.
Chris Paul appears to possibly “strain” his left adductor (groin) on this play. Typical healing time is as follows
Tightness: Day to day

Based on the news that Shams broke for us, we can assume that he might’ve suffered a Grade 1 groin injury that takes him out for a week. Until he returns, Cameron Payne will now step into the lineup in the hope to give the Suns’ offense much-needed tempo and juice going into Games 3 and 4 at home.
We’ll see if the Suns can get back in the series in time for Paul to make his return.
