Frias, a redshirt senior, signed with ASU in 2018 out of Safford, Arizona. He is listed at 6-foot-7 and 340 pounds.
Frias saw action mostly with special teams in all of the first 15 games he played in for the Sun Devils in 2019 and 2020 after redshirting in 2018. He missed the entirety of the 2021 season due to health reasons and did not see any action in 2022 when he returned.
He posted that he was entering the portal on April 20, one one of several Sun Devils to join after the Spring Game.

He was expected to be deep on the Arizona State offensive line depth chart, and now he seeks for a better opportunity with the Aggies.
