Phoenix looked fairly impressive to began the contest. With Devin Booker and Deandre Ayton getting off to hot starts, the Suns were in a prime position to complete the series.

Yet a strong start to the second quarter led to the Clippers taking a lead early in the second quarter.

L.A. was able to continue that momentum, leading 70-61 at halftime.

Strong Start from Booker and Ayton

Booker and Ayton combined for 19 first-quarter points. The longstanding duo were able to help the Suns have a slim 30-32 lead after the first quarter.

Booker shot 4-of-7 from the field. He also had three assists in the first quarter, one of which being an impressive pass to a driving Bismack Biyombo.

Booker has had possibly the best stretch of his playoff career thus far in such a short span.

As for Ayton, he ended the first half with 18 points and four rebounds. He also had two offensive rebounds, adding to his impressive showing on second chance opportunities this series.

The Return of Cameron Payne

After missing the last five games dating back to the regular season, Payne returned to action during the second quarter.

His time was extremely limited with only three minutes, but his presence on both ends of the floor was needed. He was seen being the kick out man for Devin Booker in the final minutes of the second quarter. His shooting capabilities open up the floor more for both Booker and Durant when Chris Paul sits. Payne ended the quarter with two assists.

Yet the Clippers remain steadfast in keeping the lead going into the final minute. Norman Powell was up to 16 points for the half, shooting 5-of-9 from the field.

Russell Westbrook was the leading factor for the Clippers in Game 4, now it appears Powell has that role.
