Kevin Durant is in his 16th NBA season while trying to win his 3rd-ever NBA championship with the Phoenix Suns. At 34 years old many are wondering how long Durant has before he calls it a career. The answer may or may not surprise you.

“I want to play until I can’t no more, man,” Durant told The Ringer’s Logan Murdock. “A title is incredible, but what it’s going to mean to me as an individual? I want to win a title for a city, for my teammates, for the organization. Is it going to get me more notoriety, more attention, a ring? It’s not really about me. That’s how I look at championships.

Durant is one of the greatest basketball players to ever play the game. His mindset on winning NBA championships is what separates him from other players around the league.

With where he’s at in his career with the Phoenix Suns and how they’re set up for success for a long period of time, I don’t fully expect him to hang his jersey up anytime soon.

Durant has said in the past that he wants to play until he’s 40 years old which was said back in 2014. I don’t know how much has changed since then but I know Suns fans would love that very much.
