Kawhi Leonard to miss third-straight game

Once again, the Clippers will be without Kawhi Leonard due to a right knee sprain, the team announced on Monday.

After taking a 1-0 series lead over the Suns with Leonard on the court, Phoenix has now taken three in a row. The Suns now have a chance to end the series early on their home court.

While the Clippers have seen the rise of some unexpected heroes in Norman Powell and Russell Westbrook, there is only so much they can do without their two best players.

In Kawhi’s lengthy playoff career, his team holds a 6-13 record when he is not healthy. On the other hand, when healthy, his teams hold an overall winning record, and fans have seen some of the greatest playoff performances in the past decade. This has crowned Kawhi two NBA Finals MVPs.

The absence of Paul George and Kawhi Leonard from the Clippers’ playoff roster leaves many questions on how the series would look if everybody were healthy.

Nevertheless, the Suns still have to win one more before claiming a spot in the Western Conference Semifinals. They can do this on Tuesday; tipoff is scheduled for 7Pm.
