Boyd was drafted in the seventh round of the 2019 draft by the Vikings and has played all four seasons of his career in Minnesota ever since.

For the first three seasons, Boyd played mainly the defensive back position before shifting over to cornerback in 2022.

However, a majority of his reps come from special teams, as the 26-year-old has played 648 total snaps on that side of the ball in his career.

The Cardinals now have six cornerbacks on their rosters. The others are Marco Wilson, Christian Matthew, Rashad Fenton, Antonio Hamilton, and Nate Hairston.

So far this offseason, Arizona has mainly focused on their defense after they finished last season allowing 26.4 points per game. This was the second-worst team in the league, only ahead of the Bears.
