It was a hard-fought effort for the Suns on Friday night, but they ended up snapping their 7-game winning streak by falling to the Lakers by a final score of 121-107.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The reserve players got the bulk of the work tonight with Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, Deandre Ayton, and Chris Paul all out due to rest. Torrey Craig picked up the slack tonight dropping 18 points as well as Jock Landale who had a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds.
Unfortunately for the Suns, Bismack Biyombo and Cameron Payne left the game today with injuries that had Suns fans in full panic mode and even grateful that the big 4 wasn’t playing tonight with playoffs right around the corner.
This is exactly why you sit the core 4 in games like this! Both injuries to Bismack Biyombo and Cam Payne were freak incidents. Knee to Knee and Tail Bone. I think Cam should be fine likely dealing with general soreness from the fall. Bismack Biyombo is more concerning with Knee.

The good news for Suns fans is head coach Monty Williams talked with the media shortly afterward and explained how fortunate the team was that they were impacted, by contusion-type injuries that happened between the two players.

Bismack Biyombo was helped off the court after he went down with an apparent knee injury on this play.

As you can see in the video above, it seemed like a freak accident between Biyombo and All-Star forward Anthony Davis as they were going for a loose ball. With this taking place however, the Suns may need to see a little more from Jock Landale and it may garner some minutes now from Darius Bazley who we have not seen enough of to this point.
All in all, it’s still too early to tell what their status will be for them come playoff time. All we can do is wait see and hope that both of the Suns’ two important bench pieces can come back and be impactful in the postseason.
