In what was scheduled to be Kevin Durant’s home debut in Phoenix for the Suns, the 2x NBA champion rolled his ankle during warm-ups. In a bizarre turn of events, Durant might miss up to 6 weeks due to the ankle injury.

The 2023 NBA playoffs are 5 weeks away, and Durant’s time table would put him possibly missing the first few games of the first round. It is almost certain he will miss the rest of the regular season.

It was to many people’s surprise Durant was not in the lineup on Wednesday evening. It was even more of a shocker when this video of him warming up surfaced.

One of the question marks surrounding Durant after this trade was his health. The NBA veteran has missed significant time over the last 4 seasons due to injury.

We all know as the body ages, those injuries hurt more and come with more regularity.

Durant to Return Mis-April…

The Phoenix Suns and its faithful fans will be wishing Kevin Durant a healthy recovery. Looking forward to seeing him back on the court mid-April seems to be the timeline.

As we know more we will report it. Right now all we can do is wait for all of the tests to be ran and a true medical evaluation to come out in the next day or two.

In some cases players with rolled ankles can make a quick recovery, however I think at the earliest we see Durant is 3 weeks from now.

Phoenix will take every precaution with their new prized superstar.
