You got to love NBA trade deadline rumors. After reports from the Suns being interested in OG Anunoby, there are now reports flooding Twitter stating that the Suns were close to letting Deandre Ayton walk in free agency to go to the Toronto Raptors in a sign-and-trade deal according to yahoo sports.

Ayton signed a deal with the Indiana Pacers last offseason before the Suns went in and matched the offer sheet to keep him around for another 5 years. Before that, there was speculation about whether the Suns wanted Ayton to stay.
With the trade deadline right around the corner, the Suns’ interest in Raptors player OG Anunoby and Ayton’s contract now making him eligible to be traded earlier last month, there is skepticism on whether or not the Suns make a big trade with the Raptors that could involve Ayton.
