In Sunday’s game against the Falcons, J.J. Watt recorded career sack number 112.5, putting him in the top-25 on the official NFL all-time sack leader list.

With just one more game remaining in his Hall of Fame career, it is only fitting that Watt cements his place in history in yet another category.

J.J. passed his former Cardinals’ teammate, Chandler Jones, who is in his 11th season in the league.

Now, the only current players ahead of Watt on the leaderboard are seven-time Pro Bowler Cameron Johnson and eight-time Pro Bowler Von Miller. Both will be sure-fire Hall of Famers.

The 10.5 sacks from J.J. Watt this season are the most from him since 2018, and it marks his sixth season with at least 10 sacks recorded.

While he will play his last game in the NFL next week, the 33-year-old has shown barely any regression and will end his career on a high note.

There is no doubt that next Sunday’s game against the San Francisco 49ers will be an emotional one for the entire Watt family.
