Fans dissapointed after Suns blowout loss to the Knicks

Suns Knicks

The Phoenix Suns’ first game of the new year was an ugly one, to say the least. After falling to the New York Knicks with a final score of 102-83, the Suns have now lost three in a row and are barely holding onto the 7th spot in the Western Conference.

From start to finish, Phoenix failed to get any rhythm offensively. By the time the final whistle blew, they were shooting at a sub-40% rate, and their leading scorer was Deandre Ayton, who only converted 6 of 13 for 12 points.

Although Landry Shamet connected on a couple of threes late in the game, he still finished shooting 2 of 9. Following his lead was Torrey Craig, who shot 0 of 4 from behind the arc and even went scoreless in the first half.

Fans were extremely dissatisfied with these performances and ultimately are fed up with how the past month has gone for the team.

While the halfway point approaches in the season, the panic alarm seems to be going off inside the heads of many. Over the course of the past 17 games, the Suns hold a troubling 5-12 record.

Additionally, they are now 2-7 on the season while Devin Booker does not play.

Are the Suns in trouble, or is this just a temporary slump?
