GLENDALE – 12 teams enter the 2025 NFL season without ever raising the Vince Lombardi trophy. The Arizona Cardinals sadly fall into that group, but enter next year with more hope than the franchise and its fans have had in the past decade. Quarterback Kyler Murray stated that the goal every year is to win a Super Bowl but put an emphasis that not having a playoff win in his career gets to him.

The former No. 1 pick has been too inconsistent as a passer to warrant title hopes, but if he can finally make strides airing it out to Marvin Harrison Jr. and Trey McBride, coach Jonathan Gannon should have the defense to support him, overhauling basically the entire front, which is now headlined by rookie Walter Nolen.”

Arizona is +42oo to win its first championship and are the second highest ranked non-playoff team from last year, only behind the Cincinnati Bengals. The Cardinals haven’t won a playoff game since 2015 and haven’t made a Super Bowl since 2009. The last time a team didn’t make the playoffs but made the Super Bowl the next season was the Bengals in 2021 and the Buccaneers in 2020, who ended up winning.
Each team was headlined by All-Pro caliber quarterbacks like Joe Burrow and Tom Brady. Arizona is entering its seventh season with Murray under center, and the desire results are long overdue. The 28-year-old has arguably the most talented roster he has had, with the defense experiencing a major upgrade this past offseason.

Head coach Jonathan Gannon enters his third season as the Cardinals head coach and expectations will weigh heavy on his shoulder entering next season. The NFC West is wide open for the taking, with Arizona’s division rivals all undergoing immensely roster turnover that gives the franchise an advantage in 2025.
Murray is a season and a half removed from his ACL tear and will need to return to his Pro-Bowler status if the team wants any hope to achieve the goal of having the red and white confetti fall for a Super Bowl victory.
