The opener featured highlight performances from multiple ASU players. Nu’u Contrades went 4-for-6, delivering four breathtaking runs.Freshman Landon Hairstone also made a tremendous impact, going 2-for-5 with three RBIs, in which two crucial runs took place during the ninth inning.
Beyond those highlights, every Sun Devil starter can proudly say they recorded at least one hit in the game.
Game 2 Recap
ASU maintained its strong play in the second game with intensity and standout performances. The crowd erupted when Wyatt Halvorson and Cole Carlon combined for 4.1 innings, helping push ASU into a strong lead.
Game 3 Recap
For the weekend finale, Arizona State stole the series sweep with another victory performance on Sunday night, defeating Utah 18-6. The Sun Devils had outstanding moments such as a crushing 12 runs over the final two frames to secure the road sweep in Salt Lake City.
This marks a significant achievement for the ASU Sun Devils , as they became the first team to sweep Utah at home since Stanford in the 2022 season finale, truly making a statement.
The Sun Devils now set their sights on a long awaited rival matchup against Cal State Fullerton. The game is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1, at 6:30 p.m. at Phoenix Municipal Stadium, fans should expect and prepare for intensity and some noise!
