The additions of Kahleah Copper and Natasha Cloud as veteran leaders have shifted the focus and created a new culture, one that has been a needed backbone to this Mercury team early on.

However, consistency is one factor that has been hard to come by for Phoenix.

At the halfway mark of the season, the Mercury are looking to regroup and close out strong before the All-Star break.

“We are at the halfway point, but we’ve got five more games before break,” said Mercury head coach Nate Tibbetts. “We’re kind of viewing that as the second half, but today was a good day just to kind of regroup. We’re looking for more consistency, especially on the defensive end.”
