PHOENIX – The fireworks came out late in Friday’s Play-In game between the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors. Devin Booker and his team were less than 70 seconds away from securing the Suns a spot in the playoffs when he heard a voice jawing at him from the sidelines. That was of course the notorious outspoken Draymond Green, who had some choice words to the five-time All-Star.

It looked to have settle down with the return to play, but even after the ball was inbound the two were still talking to one another, leading to Scott Foster to eject the two and chaos ensued.

Booker and Green ejected in the final minutes:
Green got his money’s worth by mimicking Foster throwing the pair out and egging on the crowd to boo louder, playing up the theatrics. With Golden State being eliminated, and the future of this core unknown, there wasn’t a better way for Green to end his season and potentially the Warriors Dynasty of the past 10 years.

Steve Kerr is entering the final year of his contract, and the emotional embrace between him, Green and Stephen Curry, one can assume this was his last game coaching ever. That could’ve led to the confrontation and Green’s high emotions saying goodbye to an important figure in his life. However, it doesn’t take a lot to get the 36-year-old riled up.
