PHOENIX — With the Rate Bowl approaching, New Mexico has revealed the uniforms it will wear for Friday’s matchup in the desert against Minnesota.

New Mexico enters the Rate Bowl at 9-3 and will play in its first bowl game since 2016. Riding a six-game winning streak in 2025 that included a stunning victory over UCLA, the Lobos are looking to cap the season on a high note.
They will try to do so in a slick turquoise jersey paired with white pants, a nod to New Mexico’s Native heritage and a symbol of the program’s rise under first-year coach Jason Eck.

Minnesota has yet to announce its uniform for the December showcase. The Golden Gophers, who finished 7-5, are making their fifth consecutive bowl appearance and will look to extend their postseason success.
While neither program hails from the Valley, the stakes remain high at Chase Field. Football has become a rarity in Phoenix, and when the Rate Bowl arrives, it draws fans from across the region and beyond to support their teams on a national stage.
Despite a different venue, New Mexico and Minnesota will still aim to put on a memorable spectacle.

The Lobos and Golden Gophers kick off the Rate Bowl on Friday, Dec. 26, at 2:30 p.m. MST.
