Freeman became the first player in MLB history to hit multiple walk-off home runs in the World Series, with his first coming in 2024 against the New York Yankees in Game 1.
Fans everywhere were glued to their screens as social media buzzed while the game stretched past midnight in some parts of the country. The marathon spoke to the greatness of baseball. There’s no clock, no shortcuts, only heart. Each team has to record every out to win, as there are no timeouts or breaks.

Game 3 will be synonymous with Freeman’s clutch hit, but it will be remembered for more than that.
The unpredictability of the postseason and the World Series is what makes baseball so great, something fans and players alike can always agree on.
