GLENDALE – The Arizona Cardinals had one of the worst offensive lines in football last season. Bottom five in sacks allowed and the second worst run game in the NFL put general manager Monti Osenfort on a mission to improve the offensive line in free agency. Through the first two days, Ossenfort has made two important signings. On Monday, he signed Isaac Seumalo to a three-year, $31 million deal, and a day later signed Josh Pryor to a one-year deal.

Weinfuss on Seumalo and Pryor:
“Seumalo’s signing was a clear indication Arizona is planning on overhauling its offensive line. The Cardinals are already in need of a right tackle but Seumalo signals a shift inside.
“Even though he started just one game last season in Philadelphia, Pryor was the starting right guard in Chicago in 2024. And, it just so happens, the Cardinals are in the market for a right guard with Will Hernandez scheduled to hit free agency on Wednesday.”

The Pro Bowler started in 14 games for the Pittsburgh Steelers and was one of the best pass blocking guards in the league. Out of 81 eligible guards, the 32-year-old had the 12th best Pro Football Focus grade of 74.8 and the fourth best pass block grade at 78.5. T0 compare, Seumalo would likely be replacing Evan Brown, who ranked 61st and 52nd in those categories.
In 770 offensive snaps, Seumalo had zero penalties’ and allowed three sacks, which was the same amount of sacks as Pryor. The 31-year-old only started one game, but he appeared in all 17 games. Pryor, on 67 pass blocks, allowed three sacks and allowed four total pressures.
In 2024, Pryor started 15 games for the Chicago Bears and was part of an offensive line unit that was 24th in rushing yards per game and allowed the most sacks. All the blame can’t be placed on Pryor but his time in Chicago was not pretty. In Arizona, the seven-year pro will be needed depth for the Cardinals offensive line that needs bottom and was hanging on by a thread last season.
