GLENDALE – The news regarding Kyler Murray’s release could give opposing teams confidence to reach out to the Arizona Cardinals about their young star wide receiver. The Athletic’s Zach Berman wrote about a story about the many avenues the Philadelphia Eagles offseason could go, with AJ Brown being on the trade block. If Brown is traded, Philadelphia will need find another wide receiver to fill his shoes and Arizona’s Marvin Harrison Jr. might be the name.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Berman called Harrison to the Eagles a “long shot,” but with the Cardinals recent history, a discussion between general managers Howie Roseman and Monti Ossenfort would surely be taken seriously.

Berman on what Eagles would give up for Harrison?
“I would call the Arizona Cardinals and see whether they were interested in a [Jihaad] Campbell-for-Marvin Harrison Jr. swap. And if it’s something that at least makes them think, I’d try to make that deal and keep [Nakobe] Dean. I’d add a third-round pick to incentivize the Cardinals and take a sixth-round pick back.”

Campbell was the 31st overall pick in the 2025 draft. The linebacker started 10 games for Philadelphia, recording an interception, 44 solo tackles, three pass deflections and a forced fumble. The 22-year-old is 6’3 and 235 pounds, and despite zero sacks, is a prototypical linebacker in today’s game. Campbell’s 76.2 Pro Football Focus overall grade is 13th among all NFL linebackers.
Despite all those positive stats for Campbell, the Cardinals won’t and shouldn’t trade Harrison. The franchise invested the fourth overall pick in 2024 on him and hasn’t given Harrison enough time to showcase his potential. A solid rookie year and an injury riddled sophomore season has led to career totals of 103 catches for 1,493 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns.

Arizona just released Murray and will aim to give Harrison another opportunity with another QB under center. The 23-year-old didn’t get much time to build a rapport with backup Jacoby Brissett in the back half of the year.
Regardless of Ossenfort’s determination to not trade Harrison, teams will try, including the Cleveland Browns. DBN writer Curtiss Brown spoke with people at the NFL Combine and stated that Browns GM Andrew Berry has called the Cardinals about Harrison’s availability. Brown reported that Ossenfort is more open to having a conversation about a possible trade, but still miles away from anything being finalized.
