According to PHNX’s Johnny Venerable, the Cardinals plan to stick with Jonathan Gannon as their head coach next year. The team, however, is expected to address changes at the offensive coordinator and on special teams.
After a season that tested the fan base’s resolve and left many eager for change, it seems continuity is being prioritized over outside noise.

This season has been one of the toughest under Gannon’s leadership. The Cardinals endured an eight-game losing streak and are now headed for a below .500 finish for the fourth consecutive season.
Gannon was hired in 2023 after serving as the Philadelphia Eagles’ defensive coordinator and was viewed as a long-term investment. During his tenure in Glendale, he has compiled a 15-35 record through three seasons.

However, the organization appears to have faith in his defensive background and how it aligns with its roster-building approach.
It remains unclear how the team will look next season, with speculation surrounding quarterback Kyler Murray’s future and potential leadership changes. Even amid that uncertainty, Gannon is expected to remain at the forefront as the organization navigates turbulence to close the season.
All signs continue to point to Jonathan Gannon returning as Arizona Cardinals head coach in 2026, with then changes set to happen at Offensive Coordinator and Special Teams.

Expectations remain unclear, but for now, the Cardinals are choosing continuity rather than initiating a full reset.
