In the fourth quarter of the Cardinals’ matchup against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, there was a polarizing play that Cardinals QB Kyler Murray was getting criticized for. It looked like from the original angle that Murray overthrew WR Marvin Harrison Jr., in what would have been an easy path to a touchdown, as there were no Saints defenders in sight. Former Cardinals QB Kurt Warner had something to say about all the negative comments online about Kyler Murray and gave his insight on how the play broke down, and how it wasn’t necessarily Murray’s fault.

Kurt Warner speaks out on negative comments surrounding Murray:
Ok, so this happened yesterday to my son & saw it happen today a couple times, once to #KylerMurray, & I know fans don’t understand/see it and will sit there and scream about a missed throw… but often times on deeper throws the QB is letting the ball go as a WR is breaking open…

Those comments coming from a QB like Kurt Warner show that the outside noise addressing Murray’s play truly doesn’t mean much if there aren’t any facts behind it. The narrative surrounding Murray will always be that he is unable to get the job done when it matters, and when moments like that happen and it looks visually like a mistake on Murray’s part, social media has let him hear it. Although Warner has also come out and addressed some comments online, and even gone as far as to prove why their ideas about Murray are incorrect.
We can agree to disagree… but you never cross the middle of the field on an “middle” route if there is a 2 safety D! Have to stay on frontside where the throw was made!! https://t.co/pD7IMDgraq

Kyler Murray has been under a microscope ever since he was drafted by the Cardinals, and has been second-guessed and massively judged. It must be a great feeling to know that he has an NFL Hall of Famer, Super Bowl QB, and former Cardinals on his side.
