GLENDALE – Massive injury news announced by ESPN’s Adam Schefter that will indirectly effect the Arizona Cardinals. Schefter announced on X Tuesday Morning that San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle will be placed on injury reserve due to an hamstring injury, which means he’ll miss the next four weeks, including Week 3 vs. Arizona.

Kittle out Week 3 vs. Cardinals:
Kittle has 14 career games against the Cardinals, recording 785 receiving yards and seven touchdowns. While his impact with the ball is outstanding, Kittle’s blocking is what has made him one of the best tight ends. The 49ers struggle without the six-time Pro Bowler, having a 7-12 record when Kittle is out.

Arizona has faced off against the 49ers twice when Kittle has been sidelined and has split the series a game a piece. However, San Francisco has been destroyed by injuries to their receiving core and are already lacking offensive weapons. The team went 0-3 last year without Kittle in the lineup, and with him missing the next four games this year, it could be trouble for the 49ers to start their season.
