Phoenix Suns trio Booker, Brooks and Green support Mercury ahead of NBA season

PHOENIX — Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker, along with Dillon Brooks and Jalen Green, were in attendance for the Phoenix Mercury’s game against the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night.

The NBA players drew cheers from the crowd when they were shown on the video board, showcasing a growing trend of male athletes supporting the WNBA. The appearance came as the WNBA nears the playoffs and with NBA training camps set to open later this month.

Booker has attended many WNBA games in the past, most notably for his connection with Mercury star Diana Taurasi when he first came to Phoenix. His continued presence has been praised by players and fans alike as a symbol of cross-league solidarity.

Brooks and Green are set to play for the Suns for the first time this season after being acquired from the Houston Rockets in an offseason trade. The deal sent All-Star Kevin Durant to Houston.

The trio’s courtside appearance reinforced the growing bond between the Suns and the Mercury, as both teams prepare for pivotal moments in their respective seasons.

The Phoenix Suns open the 2025-26 season on Wednesday, Oct. 22, against the Sacramento Kings.
