Pitching matchups on Satuday:
Arizona will have its star Corbin Burnes back on the mound after his last start was scrapped due to right shoulder inflammation. Burnes received a cortisone shot and threw a bullpen session, which helped him get back healthy for Saturday night. The Mets didn’t have any answers for Burnes in his last outing as he pitched six innings and only gave up one earned run on four hits. Head Coach Torey Lovullo did mention Burnes could be on a shorter leash today due to his recent injury.

Dustin May will be on the mound tonight for Los Angeles. After what was a strong start to the season for May, he has now regressed. May has a 1-2 record alongside a 4.36 ERA that shows he has his weak spots. In his last outing against Atlanta, he gave up four earned runs on five hits in 5.2 innings.
All the way back:
Chase Field felt like a playoff atmosphere on Friday night. Arizona will look to get some payback after what was a deflating loss. They showed they can provide a spark though against this stacked Dodgers ball club. Lourdes Gurriel Jr.’s grand slam was a trend in the right direction, as Arizona is trying to fix the problem of leaving too many runners on base. Ketel Marte seems to be back as well. It was a frustrating start for Marte since he has returned, but he got his swing back as he hit two home runs on Friday night.

The D-Backs will look to take a lead in the series against Los Angeles on Saturday night at Chase Field, with first pitch being at 5:10 p.m.
