Only three years later did The Rising make a solid turn by announcing a new name but also game-changing news regarding the addition of former Chelsea striker Didier Drogb.
Shortly after undergoing new ownership, the team’s name was rebranded as Phoenix Rising FC.
This isn’t the kind of news you think, Drogb was going to make much more of an impact to this team than just becoming a player, but yet a part-owner of Phoenix Rising.
