Starters for Thursday’s game:
Corbin Burnes will be pitching today for Arizona, as he looks more and more promising as the season goes on. In his last outing in Chicago, Burnes went six innings and only gave up two earned runs on six hits. He is looking for his first win of the season, as he has a 0-1 record with a 4.64 ERA. Over his last two starts, Burnes has allowed five runs.
Tampa Bay will look to Drew Rasmussen today, who has been dynamite for the Rays. Coming into Thursday night’s matchup, Rasmussen has a 1-1 record, though his 0.87 ERA truly shows how massive he has been for this Rays club. In his last start against the Yankees, he pitched 5.2 innings and gave up just three hits and one earned run.

One of the hottest bats in the league:
After a two-homer game for Corbin Carroll yesterday, Carroll now boasts a .327 average with nine home runs, and a 1.097 OPS on the season so far. He is now tied for first in the entire MLB for most home runs on the season (9) and ranked fourth highest in OPS in the league. Carroll is slowly cementing himself as not only one of the best players in the entire league but also entering the conversation of the best hitter around right now.
