PHOENIX (Mar. 10, 2025)— Arizona Diamondbacks’ outfielder Corbin Carroll is turning heads in Spring Training, delivering standout performances that solidify his role as a franchise cornerstone.

On Sunday, Carroll went 1-for-3 with a solo home run against the Padres—his fourth homer of the preseason. Through 10 games, he’s batting .370 with a 1.285 OPS, tallying nine RBI and five extra-base hits. Yet his influence extends beyond numbers.

Sophomore slumps are a real thing though.. right?! If all baseball fans are truly superstitious like us Diamondbacks faithful tend to be at times, then I will chalk up the first half of last season to that. Carroll, viewed as one of the biggest pieces for this Diamondbacks team, will have more of a voice as he grows as the face of the franchise alongside star second basemen Ketel Marte.

It wasn’t all a drought in 2024 though, as Corbin Carroll looks to grow upon his second half of the season where during 64 games, he had an OPS of .919 alongside 17 homeruns times and 17 stolen bases. Carroll is truly looking to benefit from ending on a strong note and his first true full offseason.

It’s getting towards the end of Spring Training, and Corbin Carroll isn’t slowing down anytime soon. His versatility, confidence, and all around abilities on the diamond are what will help lead this Diamondbacks team in the right direction, and they know it. Carroll mentioned earlier in the year on the MLB network radio, “As long as we’re playing good defense, helping our pitchers out and playing with freedom on the offensive side of the ball, I think we’re going to be in a pretty good spot.”
