Brendan “Butterbean” Queen and Brent Crews were on top of the leaderboard with the checkered flag out. Brent Crews Final Lap and Celebration:

Friday’s race saw six caution flags, as heavy rain slicked up an already difficult track. It is the longest ARCA series race in Phoenix history. Past races at Phoenix Raceway have gone into overtime, and it was no different at the General Tire 150. Queen talked to FS1 before the race and talked about taking the first 75 laps as practice, which allowed Brent Crews to carry the lead for a majority of the first half of the General Tire 150.

However, Queen kept to his strategy and revved up the pace taking over the lead with Crews and Tyler Reif finishing up the top 3 towards the final laps. Back-to-back caution flags came on the final lap, as Reif had a nasty crash with his 23 card slamming against the wall, losing his top three finish.

However, before the crash, Queen took the inside on the final lap to try and secure the win. The crash brought out the caution flag and forced a redo. Crews seeing Queen’s technique, adjusted in the final lap and was able to jump the corner to take back the lead.

Crews held out for the final half mile to secure the win at Phoenix Raceway for the General Tire 150.
