PHOENIX — Phoenix Suns head coach Mike Budenholzer spoke to the media following a much-needed 119-117 win against the Los Angeles Clippers.
Phoenix was down by as much as 23 points at one point and outscored the Clippers 43-22 in the fourth quarter behind 19 from Kevin Durant in the period. Two-way guard Collin Gillespie was integral in the comeback, sparking off the bench, playing every second of the fourth quarter and finishing a plus-21.
Budenholzer also addressed a viral clip of him and Durant engaging in a heated exchange near the end of the first quarter when it looked like Los Angeles was starting to make a run.
The Suns now sit three games behind the Dallas Mavericks for the final Western Conference play-in spot and embark on a four-game road beginning with the Denver Nuggets on Friday.
