Ahead of their NBA playoff round one rematch against the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Phoenix Suns may be without star forward Kevin Durant and rookie wing Ryan Dunn.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Durant (left thumb injury) and Dunn (left ankle sprain) are both listed questionable with their injuries ahead of Phoenix’s second matchup against the Timberwolves this season.
Dunn is still tending to a left ankle sprain that he suffered two minutes into a 119-109 win against the Washington Wizards on Saturday that kept him out of Monday’s 111-109 win over the Los Angeles Clippers. Durant has only missed 10 games this season, his last one being a 115-110 loss to the Orlando Magic at the height of the Suns’ roughest stretch of the season.
The Suns being without their soon-to-be 15-time NBA All-Star may be detrimental to their momentum (winners of eight of their last 10) at this point in the season. The Timberwolves are coming in to the Valley winners of three-straight games and sit a half a game above Phoenix in the Western Conference standings.
Minnesota swept the Suns in the first round of the playoffs last season, a taste not forgotten in the mouths of Phoenix fans and players.
