Its no secret that the Jusuf Nurkic has lost favor with the Phoenix Suns. The 7-footer began the season as the starting center but has fallen out of the rotation and hasn’t played in the last three games. Now it looks like the Suns are ready to trade him.

Reports are that Phoenix has been in talks with Charlotte about a possible center swap. The Suns are interested in Nick Richards and believe his athleticism and fit would be better with the team. The problem is that Nurkic is making around $18M this year so the contracts don’t add up at all. Charlotte would have to throw in some players to make it work, which would likely include Cody Martin. Reports also say the deal would include a 2nd round pick going to the Suns

Phoenix returns to action on Tuesday night when they begin a 5-game road trip with a stop in Atlanta to take on the Hawks.
