Evan Sidery, national NBA reporter forĀ Forbes, reported Monday that Suns veteran wing Grayson Allen possesses the highest trade value among other Phoenix role players.

Allen is averaging 11.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 21 games, with 41.0/38.8/82.6 shooting splits in his seventh NBA season. The 29-year-old guard/wing had a slow start to the season, missing games during the first week due to a recurring Achilles injury and the birth of his first child.

The highly-coveted sharpshooter had a career year with the Suns last season where he averaged 13.5 points per game and shot a league-leading 46.1% from 3-point range.

Sidery further reported that, should Phoenix want to add an “impact player” via trade without having to include any of its already limited draft capital, Allen must be part of the deal. With just under two months until the NBA trade deadline, the Suns have already been linked a handful of “impact players” that may be featured on this year’s trade market, including Miami Heat star Jimmy Butler.

Phoenix is already limited in roster flexibility because of second apron restrictions and Bradley Beal’s no-trade clause, assuming the Suns want to move off of the All-Star guard’s $50.2 million (inclining yearly) contract.

Allen is responsible for $15.6 million (4 years, $70 million) of Phoenix’s salary cap. Considering that apron restrictions wouldn’t allow the Suns to take more money back in a trade, so if they really wanted to get an upgrade over Allen, they would have to include another player or draft capital.
