After being sidelined for the last three games with a left ankle sprain, the Phoenix Suns listed Kevin Durant as probable to return to the lineup against the Utah Jazz on Friday.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Durant, who missed his second stretch of games of the season with injury, tweaked his ankle tweaked his ankle in the third quarter of a 104-93 win against the San Antonio Spurs last week. The ankle injury held him out for the rest of the game and the subsequent three-game road trip.
Durant missed seven-straight games earlier in the season with a left calf strain and Phoenix has been debilitated without him.
After starting 8-1, the Suns have lost 10 of their last 14 games (1-9 without Durant). The 17-year vet is having an MVP-worthy season, boasting averages of 25.8 points, 6.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. Phoenix is 11-2 when Durant is healthy and playing.
Along with Durant, the Suns have suffered from other injuries throughout the roster. Jusuf Nurkic (thigh), Ryan Dunn (ankle) and Grayson Allen (ankle) were not listed on Thursday’s injury report, which presumably means that each of them will be good to go.
This injury news is fruitful for the Suns who are in the middle of a three-game losing streak and are eager to return to their winning ways. The roster reportedly has a sense of urgency to not only get healthy and get back to winning, but to start playing like they know how to play.
Phoenix will start righting the ship against the Jazz in Salt lake City, Utah at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
