Phoenix Suns small forward Kevin Durant is on his 17th signature shoe model, and the hype around the Nike KD line is still buzzing.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Since the release of the KD 17 in May, basketball stars like 2024 WNBA Finals Champion and MVP Jonquel Jones along with Indiana Pacers power forward Pascal Siakam and Oklahoma City Thunder center Chet Holmgren of the NBA have thrown their own twist on Durant’s newest model for their own player exclusives (PE).

No matter who gets to don the shoe and put their own flair on it, no one will have the access to the iterations of the shoe as the man himself.
Durant’s latest PE was seen before the Suns took the court to take on the San Antonio Spurs. His newest silhouette mimicked the classic Nike Air Max 95 “Neon” OG — one of most important shoes in sneaker history.
The Neon 95s are approaching its 20th anniversary, getting a new release in the summer of 2025. Its innovative design that boasted lines inspired by the human body and large, exposed bubble that revolutionized design and technology was a staple point in any true sneaker heads outfit. Durant’s nod to the shoe was depicted on his model through mirroring layers of grey covering the shoe and accents of neon green coloring the nike logos. A neon line at the base of the shoe resembled the iconic bubble.
Prepping for Spurs vs. Suns, Kevin Durant was warming up with KD 17s inspired by the Nike Air Max 95 OGs.
