The weather at Lumen Field is forecast to be slightly windy with chance of rain. Just Thursday with TNF the Browns and Steelers had a snow game, bringing additional ball fumbling and sliding, to say the least. All the elements bring unexpected plays and add versatility for the viewers, but teams do have to practice and prepare for games that are not a typical sunny day with no clouds in sight.

Head Coach Jonathan Gannon spoke to the media today, “…you got to be on high alert for the elements, knowing it may rain there so we did some things this week to try to prepare for that.” He then touched on how he enjoyed getting to practice in heavy rain in the past and finding gaps and coaching off that.

Gannon continued to emphasize that with elements the importance of keeping control of the ball, “…ball security the double positive, got to make sure that is an advantage for us.”
After watching the Browns pull off a win on the powder-covered field, simply because they would not quit, NFL fans may be hoping for a little extra energy from the weather to add to the thrill of the game. Sunday the Cardinals play the Seattle Seahawks and the key focus if the weather decides to make a wet impact, then keeping control of the ball and securing the possession is what the Cardinal’s HC has on the board.
