Arizona Cardinals are playoff bound 4x NBA champ predicts

Arizona Cardinals offensive tackle Paris Johnson Jr. (70) is introduced before playing against the New York Jets at State Farm Stadium in Glendale on Nov. 10, 2024.

Arizona Cardinals are on a hot streak, and everyone has been talking great things about the team. This 4 x NBA champion supports his home state of Ohio and got on Instagram after he watched the Cardinals game to shout out former Buckeyes WR Marvin Harrison Jr.

Former NFL Star JJ Watt said via X (formally known as Twitter) “I thought everyone said Marvin Harrison Jr. was no good after his first ever game in the NFL?” Wonder who thought that, because Harrison Jr. has locked down 33 receptions this season with 499 yards and 6 TDs as a rookie. Not to mention that insane 1st quarter against the Rams that sparked Lebron James to post “H.I.M Still!!!!” on Instagram.

Take a look at a few of the rising star wide receivers’ NoteCARDS (via the Az Cardinals website):

  • Highest-drafted wide receiver out of Ohio State in program history
  • First non-quarterback taken in the draft and the fourth player behind QBs Caleb Williams, Jayden Daniels and Drake Maye
  • Harrison is just the third WR in franchise history to be selected by the Cardinals in the top five of the NFL Draft joining Larry Fitzgerald (3rd overall in 2004) and Ahmad Rashad (4th overall in 1972).
  • Played 38 games (26 starts) in three seasons (2021-23) at Ohio State where he finished with 155 receptions (6th most in OSU history) for 2,613 yards (6th most in OSU history) and 31 TDs (3rd most in OSU history) as well as four carries for 58 yards and a TD
  • Won the Biletnikoff Award in 2023 joining former Pro Bowler Terry Glenn (1995) as the only Buckeyes ever to receive the honor
  • Had 15 games with 100+ receiving yards during his college career, a school record

Marvin Harrison Jr.: “We gotta keep going, keep building”

James recently said via X “The Cardinals out of the NFC West, they’ve been playing some really good football. I’m kind of 50/50. I do like Kyler Murray and obviously my guy from the Ohio State football, Marvin Harrison Jr. is an animal. If I have to say one or the other, because of Marvin Harrison Jr., I’m going to say yes.”

James’ slight Ohio state favoritism is shining through, but it does not change how on fire the Cardinals have been with their star rookie. Will there be more hype building around the team after Sunday’s matchup against Seattle? Check out No. 18 and the Arizona Cardinals, kick off is at 2:25 p.m. Nov 24.
