Suns fans laud over team beginning NBA Cup run with victory over Jazz

Kicking off their run in the Emirates NBA Cup 2024, the Phoenix Suns were able to beat the Utah Jazz 120-112 without Jusuf Nurkić and Kevin Durant.

Devin Booker led the team with 31 points and Bradley Beal followed with 24 in the win for the Suns (9-2). Phoenix shot 43-for-86 (50%) from the field and 18-for-39 (46.2%) from three, outrebounded the Jazz 42-39 and collected 11 blocks.

Mason Plumlee started in place for Nurkić and recorded a double-double, with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Coming off the bench in an expanded role, rookie Oso Ighodaro impressed as he contributed with six points, 12 rebounds and two blocks.

The former Jazz duo of Royce O’Neale and Grayson Allen provided some much-need production from the bench, combining for 24 of the 34 points from that unit. Allen posted 15 points and O’Neale finished with nine points, three rebounds, two assists, a team-high three blocks and one steal.
