Phoenix Suns star Devin Booker has been scorching hot in the past few games with three 28-plus-point games and has received a significant accolade because of his dominant display.

He averaged 33.7 points, 6.3 assists and 5.7 rebounds per game last week as well as helping the Suns be 5-1 to start the season.
DeMar DeRozan (Sacramento Kings), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Oklahoma City Thunder), Nikola Jokić (Denver Nuggets) and Kyrie Irving (Dallas Mavericks) were the other nominees under consideration.
Leading the way with a 33-point performance in a 109-105 win over the Los Angeles Lakers, Booker then followed it up by notching a season-high 40 points against the Los Angeles Clippers on Halloween. He wrapped up the week with 28 points in the 103-97 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers.
Booker is averaging 26.7 points, 5.7 assists, 4.2 rebounds and 1.2 steals (career-best) in six games so far this season. He is 978 points away from overtaking Walter Davis and becoming the leading scorer in Suns franchise history.
As for the Eastern Conference, Cleveland Cavaliers star Donovan Mitchel was the recipient of the Player of the Week from that side of the league. The former Utah Jazz guard beat out the New York Knicks’ Jalen Brunson and Karl Anthony Towns, Chicago Bulls’ Nikola Vučević and Boston Celtics’ Jayson Tatum.
