Cardinals back-to-back wins ignite hope in fans

It had been just over three years since the Cardinals won back-to-back games with Kyler Murray at quarterback—dating back to October 2021. But that drought ended this Sunday when the Cardinals mounted another thrilling second-half comeback to edge out the Miami Dolphins 28-27.

The Cardinals‘ last three victories have all come down to clutch field goals in the final minutes. Each of these wins has been by a razor-thin margin of two points or less. Kicker Chad Ryland has become the Cardinals’ closer, delivering game-winning field goals in consecutive weeks.

With less than half the season completed, Arizona has already matched its win total from the last two seasons, offering fans something they haven’t felt in years: hope.

Heading into Week 8, no team in the NFL had allowed fewer passing yards per game than the Dolphins (154 ypg). But Kyler Murray responded with his best performance of the season, throwing for 307 yards and two touchdowns.

For the first time in a long while, Cardinals fans have reason to believe that the team is finally moving in the right direction—and perhaps even setting up for a playoff push.
