Entering Wednesday, the Phoenix Suns were set to begin their quest for a NBA championship but it was far from easy.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe!Even when they led by as much as 14 points in the second quarter, they had to come back from a late nine-point deficit to beat the Kawhi Leonard-less Los Angeles Clippers 116-113 in overtime.
Bradley Beal and Kevin Durant both scored 25 points for the Suns while former ASU star James Harden recorded a double-double, with 29 points and 12 rebounds. Jusuf Nurkić made two crucial free throws with a few seconds left in extra time and Grayson Allen came up with the game-sealing steal to secure the victory.
The Suns turned the ball 22 times, shot a dismal 14-of-23 (60.9%) from the free throw line at one point, were outrebounded 51-42 and Devin Booker fouled out.
With the new season now underway and expectations high going in, the Suns fans let out their emotions about the team pulling off a dramatic win and starting the year 1-0.
Here is just some of what the Suns fans had to say:

Sloppy, sloppy, but gutsy win by the Phoenix Suns. They survived one of their infamous 2nd half collapses, and win 116-113. The Phoenix Suns are 1-0 #SunsUp

Anything but pretty… yet still much better than last season even just mentality wise. Suns 4ths last year we would have gave up on the 7th minute mark.
A lot to work on but we start the season 1-0 #SunsUp https://t.co/ti3iilzt9d

New coach same results. Offense is iffy, can't rebound worth a lick & turnovers are an issue. @Suns #SunsUp
