On Wednesday, Phoenix Raceway president Latasha Causey showed off the Official Countdown Clock for NASCAR Championship Weekend at Sky Harbor’s Terminal 4. Local leaders like Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego, City of Avondale Councilmember Max White, Arizona Office of Tourism Public Information Officer Josh Coddington and others were all in attendance.

The electronic clock is on Level 1 of Terminal 4’s west end and will be on display throughout NASCAR Championship Weekend on Nov. 8-10.

“The excitement for NASCAR Championship Weekend continues building with each passing second,” Causey said in a press release. “We are looking forward to welcoming all of the fans traveling to Phoenix Raceway for this amazing event and introducing travelers who aren’t NASCAR fans to the most heart-pounding, exciting sporting event our community has to offer.”

The three-day NASCAR Championship Weekend in Avondale will host four championship races starting with both the ARCA Menards Series West and CRAFTSMAN Truck Series Championship races on Nov. 8. The Xfinity Series Championship Race is on Nov. 9 and the highly-anticipated Cup Series Championship Race caps off the season on Nov. 10.
