With the biggest NASCAR race of the year heading to the Valley next month, Phoenix Raceway announced that GRAMMY-winning rapper Nelly will put on an extravagant performance before the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race begins on Nov. 10.

The world-famous artist then released his next album in 2002 called Nellyville which came with number-one hits “Hot in Herre” and “Dilemma” as well as top-five single “Air Force Ones”. He is also known for the songs “Grillz,” and “Flap Your Wings.”
In 2010, Nelly released the album 5.0 which featured the triple-platinum single, “Just a Dream.” Nelly is planning to release the new album Heartland2 in 2025.
Even though he has been performing since the early 2000s, Nelly is excited about the opportunity to be on this kind of stage at NASCAR.
“Performing for NASCAR is always crazy,” Nelly said in a press release. “The energy level is high and the fans are incredible!”
When talking about getting the crowd hyped for the final NASCAR race of the season, Phoenix Raceway president Latasha Causey believes that Nelly will bring the energy needed ahead of the gargantuan competition.
“We’re ecstatic to have Nelly help us close out the 2024 NASCAR season in style,” Causey said in the release. “His timeless, high-energy hits will surely set the stage for a thrilling finale and amp up our crowd at Phoenix Raceway.”
For fans who want to witness the pre-race concert, it is free for those who have tickets for the championship race.
With the prestigous Bill France Cup on the line, the NASCAR Cup Series Championship Race begins on Nov. 10 at 1 p.m. MST.
