Emotions ran high in Game 2 of the NLDS as tensions between the Los Angeles Dodgers and San Diego Padres erupted at Dodger Stadium. The drama began when fans in the left-field bleachers started hurling objects—including beer cans and even a baseball—toward Padres left fielder Jurickson Profar.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The situation escalated further when Padres star Manny Machado tossed a ball into the Dodgers’ dugout. The ball bounced in the direction of Dodgers manager Dave Roberts, prompting a heated response from Roberts in his postgame comments. Although video footage showed Machado softly lofting the ball without apparent malicious intent, Roberts was quick to call out the Padres’ slugger for what he perceived as unsportsmanlike conduct.
The Padres ultimately took the situation in left field as fuel and ran away with a 10-2 win, evening the series at 1-1, which is now a 2-1 Padres advantage.
Meanwhile, Arizona Diamondbacks shortstop Geraldo Perdomo made it clear where his loyalties lie. After the Padres’ Game 3 victory, highlighted by a Fernando Tatis Jr. home run, Perdomo took to Instagram to show his hatred for Los Angeles.

Though the Diamondbacks and Padres are divisional rivals, it seems Perdomo’s disdain for the Dodgers outweighs any animosity toward San Diego. The Padres have a chance to the move on to the NLCS with a win over the Dodgers on Wednesday night.
