Grichuk fit seamlessly into his utility role during his first year with the D-backs, posting an impressive .291 batting average over 279 at-bats. The veteran outfielder had previously played for the Los Angeles Angels in 2023, the Colorado Rockies in 2022, and split time between the Rockies and the St. Louis Cardinals earlier in his career.

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Grichuk shared his reflections on the year:

“Another season in the books! It was a dream coming true being able to play for the team in the city and state in which I live in, the Arizona Diamondbacks. Even tho our season ended earlier than it should have, I had a blast playing at “Home” and wearing Arizona/Diamondbacks across my chest. This past season will always hold a special place in my heart. What a year it was, from reaching 10 years of service time, to collecting my 200th career homerun, and also 1,000+ hits. Thank you to everyone that supported me, my family, friends, and the fans.”

With a mutual option for the 2025 season, there’s a possibility that the 32-year-old could return to the Diamondbacks next year.
