The new Phoenix Suns’ City Edition jersey for the 2024-25 season appeared to leak online today, along with every other NBA team’s City Edition jersey.
Thank you for reading this post, don't forget to subscribe! The Suns’ jersey pays homage to the 1995 All-Star Game uniform, as the 2024-25 season will be the 30th anniversary of when Phoenix hosted the game. The Suns have since hosted the game in 2009 and will also play host in 2027, but this 1995 uniform, which was worn by the Eastern Conference, has always been iconic.
According to Suns Uniform Tracker on X, this is what the new City Edition jersey will look like:
There it is!
Suns City Edition for next season.
If I'm being honest I'm not a huge fan of combining the Western font with the 95 All-Star game look. It's still cool, but could have been better. pic.twitter.com/XgJ9dkuaKw

The shorts that go along with the jersey appeared to leak over a month ago and also go along with the old All-Star Game uniform.

If this is the final product, it seems like the Suns could have done more with the jersey and added a cactus like the original All-Star Game uniform. They did go back to using “The Valley” as the words on the jersey, which became a staple of the team when the original “The Valley” jerseys were released in 2021.
Last year’s city edition jerseys were a lighter purple and said “El Valle” on them, paying homage to both the past “The Valley” jerseys and “Los Suns” jerseys.

People leaned toward having negative reviews on the jersey leaks, mostly because they did not have the cactus on them.
This is real? Pretty bad. How did this get past the marketing people?

I like it, but I don't love it especially after seeing some of your mockups with much more ASG inspiration looking much better. My hope is this will grow on me because I hated the turquoise ones at first when they released but ended up loving them with enough time

As everyone said, could be better and kissed opportunity not adding the cactus. Maybe with the number they will look fuller but just seems as something is missing. However, compared to the majority of the ones out there for other cities, these are a win.

This is how the jersey would factor into the uniform rotation for the 2024-25 season with the Suns keeping their same association, icon and statement editions from last year.

The Suns did not officially unveil their City Edition uniform until November of last season, so it may be a bit until they officially release the jerseys.
