Phoenix Mercury guard Natasha Cloud was irate about the officiating, believing Monday’s game vs. the New York Liberty was “5 vs. 8” due to the calls the officials made on her team and not as many on the opposition.

There were questionable fouls throughout the game with players getting their hands all on the ball and having light contact being called, spurring controversy. Multiple Mercury players jawed at the officials for things they thought they were and were not doing correctly.
Brittney Griner chimed in and gave her thoughts on what transpired, noting that each game from here on out is a tough game and the team will go back to the drawing board as they continue their five-game homestand.
