Like many teams, the Phoenix Suns decided to have some fun with their 2025 schedule release, taking slight jabs at several teams while they announced their opponents on social media.

For the Miami Heat, the Suns X account posted a picture of empty seats, a nightclub, and DJ Khaled.

In response, the Heat replied with a picture of NBA attendance by team during the 2023–2024 season, which showed the Heat averaging 19,749 fans per game, ranking them 4th in the league, compared to the Suns, who averaged 17,071 fans per game, ranking them 25th.

To be fair, the Suns are currently riding their 3rd longest sellout streak in franchise history, which is over 100 games in a row. So, while their attendance may be low relative to the rest of the league, that comes more from the Footprint Center’s capacity than from the Suns ability to draw fans.

Compared to Footprint Center’s 17,000 capacity, the Heat’s stadium, Kaseya Center, holds 19,500.

Last season, the Suns went 2-0 against the Heat, winning both games by double digits.
