“We were anticipating a large jackpot due to the magnitude of the series and the evening’s giveaway, but to see it grow to almost half a million dollars was truly awing and a huge testament to our incredible fans,” said Derrick Hall, President, CEO & General Partner of the Arizona Diamondbacks. “We are grateful to our fans who want to make an impact and to Avnet Cares for their support, as our 50/50 Raffle, which plays a huge part in youth sports development, is one of the most successful programs across all of MLB.”
The 50/50 raffle has been in place since at least the 2013 season, eventually expanding to online participation during the 2017 season. Fans can purchase tickets in the raffle, with the opportunity to win half the proceeds. The five biggest jackpots have come in each of the past two seasons.
  1. $451,538 (August 10, 2024)
  2. $326,555 (June 16, 2024)
  3. $253,277 (June 18, 2023)
  4. $253,277 (October 30, 2023)
  5. $247,676 (July 4, 2023)

With the Diamondbacks consistently improving their play, and the postseason looking more and more like a realistic possibility, it would not be too surprising to see that record get broken before the season is over.
